Team HLd in Hong Kong to celebrate our 175th episode - Thursday, March 18, 2010

We headed to Hong Kong to celebrate our 175th episode and to launch our luxury travel segment on the 8th march 2010, on a late night Cathay pacific flight.

Thankfully we all flew business class and hence got some rest on the way to Hong Kong. Landed at 12 noon HK time and were whisked away in a rolls Royce to our 1 st destination The Pennisula HK. Very High life...
day 1
We met extremely efficient, warm and friendly  team of Pennisula at the gate itself ready to welcome us. We did not waste any time checking in , in fact everything was highly organized. I had to get ready in half n haur and head to Felix , one of there best restaurants in hotel to shoot the ambiance and the chef''s signature dishes.
Felix has been designed by noted French designer Phillippe Starck who is known best for his avante garde designs. Seated there by night, i could see the entire galaxy of sparkling little lights all the way from the Hong Kong harbour to Victoria’s Peak.

after felix we were headed to Salon De Ning , is styled on the basis of Shanghai of the 1930s.. Shanghai is known for its culture rich architecture and this glamorous lounge allows us to feel a part of the era gone by, just by being in the ambience of the vintage designs and art deco pieces. Truly a taste of royal ancient China, I truly loved the interior of Salon De Ning, It was blingy with lots of character , very me.
After the shoot the entire team was suppose to have dinner with Winvy the PR manager of Penninsua at felix, so we quickly went back to our rooms, freshened up and were back in Felix. Food was awesome.
We  our Dinner at around 9.30 pm HK time, though tired we all wanted to hit the night market we had heard about sim sta sui, and thats exactly we did.
Day 1 ended at around 1 am, Completely exhausted we had to hit the bed, as day 2 starts at 6 am .
Day 2
Stared at ESPA spa, Beautiful and serene, though did not get the time to go through any massage ,  the sweet team of Pennisula organized a facial for me later in the evening.
Next was our helicopter ride, after a short safety briefing we all were in the helicopter getting the Ariel view of the entire city. It was truly exhilarating and truly High life.
Afternoon tea at the Pennisula is a tradition that''s been followed since years, people literally Que up to have their cuppa at the hotel, its really an experience one shouldn''t miss, and we had to film that .
After checking out the hotels luxury shopping arcade we headed to repulse bay in our mini coopers, Repulse Bay is located in the southern part of the Hong Kong island.. and was originally a base for pirates way back in the 19th century. But now it is one of Hong Kong’s most expensive and posh residential areas, offering a panoramic view of the bay.
We had lovely Lunch at Verandah, one of their oldest restaurant opened its door in the 1920.
Our schedule ended for the day at around , Preccilla the PR manager of Pennisula who was with us the whole day offered to take us to soho street after seeing our keenness to check out some local designers.

And thats exactly what we did, and while shooting i also ended up shopping for some exotic jewelery pcs from some of the local designers. Got good discount since i got em on TV :)
day had not ended yet. It was time to hit the most happening night clubs in Town.
We met up with Reyna Harilela and Shirly Hiranand, the most happening Socialites and PR persons in town who also happens to be the daughters in law of the famous harilela family of HK at Busy suzzie owned by Gilbert Yeung a 40 year old Icon who owns most of the happening night clubs in HK, like Dragon i , tasmania and many more.

After having interviewing Gilbert and a  having great Japanese dinner at Busy Suzzie we headed to tazmania and Dragon i.
The party scene rocks in HK, Music, people, places and most importantly the energy, though the party was  just getting better at 2 am we said bye to everyone as we had start early on day 3 too.
Day 3
After having a great breakfast we were ready to learn how to make Dim sums with the chef in their Spring Moon Chinese restaurant  . It was a lot of fun, more so coz i love dim sums.
We had lunch at the same restaurant with Presciila and headed out to meet Kim Robinson, hair stylists to the stars. after filming and interviewing the team of Kim Robinson we all were frre to do what we wanted to do.yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.....
Finally some shopping time.
