Don''t lose your mind, lose your weight"...by Rujuta Diwekar, I bought the book around six months back on my trip to India, and found it very interesting, simply coz here was a dietitian who was promoting healthy eating and not just eating a certain category of food, and who also thought that Indian food is healthy and that we cud eat everything that we love and still lose weight. Wow!! sounds great. isn''t it.Well!! m a true Bengali and Bengalis don''t eat to live but live to eat. so for me this sounded just out of this world. And most importantly she has made kareena kapoor look what she looks today, now I really wanted to meet her. And look at my luck, six months down the line I get a call from a PR agency saying , we are getting Kareena Kapoor''s dietitian to dubai, would you like to interview her for hld??? and I was like...........ooffffffcccoourrrrrseeee. Interviewing Rujuta was fun, she is a smart and Intelligent woman, and talks really well!! ( no retakes in 15 min interview) . But more then that she knows what she is talking about, very clear and uncomplicated. She had a lot of diet facts and tips to talk about, but she stresses mainly on 4 principals of healthy eating 1. NEVER WAKE UP TO TEA OR COFFEE 2. EAT EVERY TWO HOURS 3.EAT MORE WHEN YOU ARE MORE ACTIVE AND LESS WHEN YOU ARE LESS ACTIVE. 4.FINISH YOUR LAST MEAL AT LEAST 2 HOURS PRIOR TO SLEEPING. Well!! they all sound simple but getting down to doing them is a different story all together. but if you really want to know how to get started and also want some great tips, wait for our episode. I finished the interview by saying , Rujuta now I want some tips for myself, and she happily said sure.......:) Rujuta will in Borders tomm. (30/9) MOE at 6.30 pm to sign her book and also to give 2 hours lecture at DUCTAC. I left very proud of Rujuta, here was one Indian woman who''s doing what she truly loves to do, and at the same time making a difference to people''s lives. Rujuta has arrived.
