'It has been a long and truly amazing journey for HLD… we’ve visited the most glamorous places in Dubai, chatted with the most interesting people and partied at the hottest hotspots in the city. By now everyone can confirm that if its HAPPENING in Dubai it WILL be on HLD.HLD became the very first Dubai based TV show where the city''s cosmopolitan lifestyle was showcased. It was a show FOR Dubai, made IN Dubai, by people who LOVE Dubai! Season I started in Nov 2005. marked the beginning of a new era of glamour and style an era called High Life dubai. Tradional yet Trendy Dubai has a rich cultural scene with art museums, film festivals and performing arts centers, in addition to being a shopper''s delight, A city of excitement waiting to be explored everyday it has definitely positioned itself has one of the most significant international cities of the 21st century.
From our 1st day of the shoot to High life dubai’s opening party, we have had Raghav cook up a meal for us, Malika arora wish us happy new year,One on one chats with Amitabh Bacchan , Sharukh khan, Karan johar,feroz khan, Mf hussain and even Morgan freeman… Whether its kayaking in hatta or the MAC season party from the tommy Hilfiger launch to getting a glimpse of the soft side of sushmita Sen ,preity zinta and akshay meeting children with special needs … High life dubai was there to give you a feel of the action and excitement.
It was in this year that Dubai saw the opening of some of the most exotic hotels.. like Bab Al Shams, Park Hyatt and Al Aqa Beach Resort... each one of these properties has made its unique mark in the hearts of the people of Dubai and we were one of the first to bring them to you!
We all know that Dubai is considered the fashion capital of the Middle East, but did you know that it was also counted in as the Horse Racing capital of the Middle East? The people of Dubai love their dose of glam and the Dubai World Cup is one event where we get to see Dubai’s increasingly style conscious racegoers battle it out to be crowned the “best dressed person”. This particular event was special for me as I got a chance to meet the late Feroz Khan who was an avid horse racing buff and also the owner of several horses. Even at the age of 65, he oozed attitude and style...
Gosh..... It was an explosive season and by the end of it, we had all our viewers hungry for more!! We ended the season in July 2006
Some one rightly said that Moments last a few minute but memories last a lifetime, the memories continue
